Does Microsoft 365 back up my data?
Microsoft keeps its service running, but it does not provide full backups of your data. Deleted or encrypted files, emails and Teams content can be lost after retention periods end, so a separate Microsoft 365 backup is strongly recommended.
What is the 3-2-1 backup rule?
Keep three copies of your data, on two different types of storage, with one copy off site. It means a single failure, fire or ransomware attack cannot destroy every copy.
